The 2019 Sibleys

My awards ballot of choice.

In a change from last year, I’m going to do 10 nominees for the bigger categories, but in keeping with the spirit of what the previous entry, this is about celebrating as much as I possibly can, considering awards season usually scales itself down over the festival season and what gets send out on screeners. Once again, the pictures attached to each category are not an indicator of what I would choose as the winner, but instead keeping with this ethos.

HONOURARY AWARD

  • The Other Side of the Wind

For the film and all those involved in producing it, from the 1970’s when it first started filming, through to this year when it was finally available to see.

Two reasons:

1 – Nothing else can truly compete with it.

2 – It deserves to be nominated in every category it’s applicable in, and considering the purpose of these awards is to celebrate as much as possible, I’d rather give it something upfront.
